FIELD: purification of liquid media by flotation. SUBSTANCE: method may be used in treatment of natural waters, household, industrial and rain sewage waters from suspended matter, oil products, fats, surfactants, bacterial, radioactive and other impurities. The method involves preliminary determination of gas supply for saturation of treated liquid on basis of measurement of quantitative characteristics of inlet flow of liquid. Results of measurements of quantitative characteristics of liquid outlet flow are used for correction of preliminary preset supply of gas until minimum value of quantitative characteristics of outlet flow of liquid is attained. The device for the method embodiment is additionally provided with functional converter, device for automatic search of extremum and servo drive with its communications allowing performance of flotation purification of liquid media with varying in time inlet characteristics under optimal regime.
