FIELD: hydraulic engineering; backing up and control of water, mudflows and other flows. SUBSTANCE: proposed invention can be used for abolishing or preventing emergencies, for instance, in case of discharge of varnishes and paints or oil products. Backwater structure has envelopes made of flexible material and consisting of sections installed vertically in flow and connected to each other. Sections are provided with pipelines to deliver filling material into envelope space. Envelope is made bellows-like and consists of two parts. One end part of each envelope is rigidly fastened in bank piers and other part is provided with interlock connecting both parts of envelope into integral unit. Each part of envelope consists of sections-chambers of polyhedral outline interconnected by sealing flexible ties. Thin metal or metal cord is used as envelope material. Catwalk is mounted on upper part of envelope. EFFECT: provision of high degree of prefabricability, possibility of prevention of emergency situation for definite time. 4 cl, 4 dwg
