FIELD: deep drilling of boreholes. SUBSTANCE: turbo-drill is made of spindle and one turbine section as minimum. Shaft of spindle in extreme lower position rests with its conical stop set on it fixedly with use of half-clutch-nut against location conical socket fixed by means of nipple and connection adapter in body of spindle. In such position rotor element of spline clutch of spindle engages stator element of spline clutch that is anchored in body of spindle of turbo-drill. In this case shaft of turbine section does not transmit torque to shaft of spindle of turbodrill. Shaft of spindle of turbo-drive is rotated in such position by rotor table of drilling rig via drill pipe string. In extreme upper position with pronounced value of axial load on drill bit shaft of spindle links up with use of its half-clutch-nut with conical half-clutch of shaft of turbine section. Rotor element of spline clutch of spindle disengages stator element of same clutch, shaft of turbine section rotates shaft of spindle and drill bit attached to it.
