FIELD: classifying and concentration of minerals. SUBSTANCE: pneumatic separator has separating chamber with funnels inserted one into another; outer funnel has form of parabolid; profile of outer and inner funnels is determined according to mathematical dependences; outer funnel is mounted rotatably; its inner surface is provided with helical projections in form of Archimedean spiral at direction opposite to direction of rotation of funnel; inner funnel is provided with thin plates located radially over generatrix; these plates divide chamber into equal sections where transversal deflecting splitters are mounted; constant clearance is formed between edge of plate and inner surface of outer funnel over entire length; upper discharging and charging branch pipes are arranged coaxially; end of charging branch pipe is fitted with cone-shaped distributor with guides which are connected with feed branch pipes entering each section at level of 1/3 of its length; discharging branch pipe of inner funnel is brought out in center of lower portion of separator coaxially relative to discharging branch pipe of lower funnel inside which air supply branch pipe is mounted.
