FIELD: transport engineering; tractor and automotive industry. SUBSTANCE: engine cylinders are arranged in two opposite rows with angle between cylinders equal to 180 deg. Crankshaft is made with angle between two opposite cranks equal to 180 deg. Crankpins and main journals of crankshaft are of equal length and diameter, except for last main journal which is two times longer than other journals. Twin bearing shells are fitted on this journal. Working cycles in each pair of opposite cylinders are executed simultaneously as common cycle. Camshaft of fuel pump is made to suit cylinder firing order. Each pair of pumping units of fuel pump operates simultaneously as integral unit. EFFECT: provision of smooth operation, reduced fuel consumption, increased service life and improved performance characteristics as compared with other V-type engines. 1 dwg
