FIELD: domestic chemistry, insecticides. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to composition designated for protection from blood-sucking insects stings. Agent has insecticide repellent, emulsifier, repellent emulsion stabilizing agent and water. Agent has preliminary structurally modified N,N-diethyl-m-toluamide or mixture of preliminary structurally modified N,N-diethyl-m-toluamide and dimethyl phthalate as repellent in the form of semiproduct with definite viscosity index, in definite temperature synthesized by interaction of the above indicated compound or mixture with copolymer of maleic anhydride with vinyl and/or acryl monomer of definite formula. Components are taken in the definite ratio. Invention relates to also method of preparing agent by interaction of compound or semiproduct mixture that is added to emulsion mixture obtained by mixing separately prepared aqueous and organic phase. Mixture is prepared by dissolving hydrophilic emulsifiers in water at 50-70 C and organic phase is prepared by dissolving emulsion stabilizing agent at 65-75 C, and phases are mixed by emulsification of organic phase in an aqueous phase.
