FIELD: spacecraft docking systems; prompt separation of spacecraft components. SUBSTANCE: device has housing where cartridge chamber with explosive charges, diaphragm, sleeve, rod and inserts with bearing beads are mounted. Rod is secured on tail-piece of diaphragm. Housing is provided with spherical surface to limit sagging of diaphragm. Mounted between cartridge chamber and diaphragm opposite explosive charges is reflector. When explosive charges operate, jets of powder gases are scattered in striking against reflector, thus equalizing pressure in pyro chamber and causing deformation of diaphragm. As a result, rod moves relative to beads of inserts which fall in circular bores of rod releasing the sleeve coupling the separable components. EFFECT: enhanced tightness of pyro chamber excluding escape of powder gases and contamination of adjacent structural members. 4 dwg
