FIELD: liquefaction of natural gas. SUBSTANCE: source flow is separated into two parts. One part is first fed to the preliminary heat exchanger and then, to the recuperative one, then it is reduced and the steam-liquid mixture is separated. The other part of the flow is fed to the vortex tube. The cold flow from the vortex tube is directed to one of the heat exchangers for additional cooling of the main part of the natural gas flow being liquefied. The hot flow from the vortex tube is fed for warm-up of the heat exchangers not used at the given moment. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of plant operation. 2 dwg
