FIELD: liquefying natural gas.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes sequential cooling of high-pressure gas in primary and main heat-transfer apparatuses by low-pressure reverse-flow uncondensed natural gas during cycle and additional flow of gas cooled down in vortex tube, throttling of high-pressure cooled gas, and separation of steam-liquid mixture formed in the process in hot well. Additional cold gas flow is produced by cooling in at least one auxiliary heat-transfer apparatus due to cold generated in at least one vortex tube followed by throttling gas arriving from external source whose pressure is higher than that of reverse flow. Method effectiveness can be further enhanced with aid of ejector by supplying gas flow to its inlet from outlet of heat-transfer apparatus and hot gas flow from outlet of vortex tubes; gas coming from external source and characterized in pressure higher than that of reverse flow is used as active gas.
EFFECT: enhanced liquefying efficiency.
