FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves saturating blood with digoxin in accelerated way during 2-4 h. Hemodynamic parameters are continuously controlled. Stroke and minute volumes are recorded from the beginning of digoxin administration. The dose previous to one causing minute volume reduction is considered to be the optimum saturation dose.
