FIELD: railway transport; diesel locomotives, electric locomotives. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of devices intended for provision of radial stability of axles of railway vehicle bogie wheelsets when vehicle negotiates curved sections of road. Bogie has frame, wheelset with axle boxes, springs of spring suspension through which bogie frame rests on axle boxes and radius rods connecting wheelset axle boxes with frame. Axle boxes of each wheelset are connected with frame by brackets through every other radius rod or coaxial radius rods arranged horizontally and parallel to longitudinal axis of bogie. Radius rods of front wheelset are arranged higher than, those of middle wheelset, at the level and those of rear wheelset either lower than or at the level of axle of corresponding wheelset. Such design of railway vehicle bogies provides automatic setting of wheelset axles, when vehicle negotiates curved section of track, in direction of radii of curvature, with resulting setting of wheel flanges tangentially to curve at zero angle of attack on rail, reduction of side pressure of wheel flanges on rail and decreased resistance to movement at curved track, decreased wheel flange wear, increased periods between turnings of wheel flanges.
