FIELD: construction engineering; draw-in methods and devices for driving underground pipelines. SUBSTANCE: method provides for fast installation of asymmetrical working element in hole bed in any desired position relative to axis of head tool including strictly along its axis while checking position of leader cap relative to longitudinal axis of tool and position of tool axis relative to vertical line irrespective of possible turn of flight which is essentially gauge length. Device has electric motor and reduction unit coupled with asymmetrical working element by means of two overrunning clutches imparting torque to working element or inclined washer depending on sense of rotation of motor shaft. Rotation of working element and inclined washer makes it possible to ensure any desired positioning of head part of tool in hole bed during its driving.
