FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: glued wood member used for erection of low buildings as self-bearing wall member made in the form of glued panels, timber, etc. has plates whose fibers are oriented along longitudinal axis of member and joined together by glue streaks along layers. External plates are made of wood such as: larch, oak, ash-tree; internal plate (plates), of low-density wood such as: pine-tree, fir, silver fir; total thickness of external plates is 0.04-0.7 of member thickness; thickness of each plate is not less than 5 mm. Member has improved heat-reflecting characteristics when exposed to penetrating wind, moisture, and to wind load accompanied by temperature difference of outdoor and indoor atmospheres. EFFECT: improved strength. 5 cl, 2 ex, 1 dwg
