SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preparation of wood blanks applied for producing acoustic soundboard of fretted and bow instruments. Veneer sheets of different width dried to 6-8% moisture imitates late and early wood, And the sheets imitating late wood has multilayer construction consisting of 8-12 sheets of macroveneer saturated with glue and attached so that the width is 1-1.5 mm. Andreev's acoustic constant of wood laminate is more than 12 cm4/kg·s.
EFFECT: invention allows enhancing acoustic properties of wood instruments and diversification of the instruments.
