FIELD: protection of metal with paintwork coatings from corrosion. SUBSTANCE: described is anticorrosion pigment for primers as applied to metal comprising pigment inhibitor components. Inhibitor component includes ground pyrolusite, talc or micaceous iron ore or mica, or mixture thereof, ratios of components being as follows, wt %: pyrolusite, 10-55; talc or micaceous iron ore, or mixture thereof in any ratio, 45-90. EFFECT: wider range of lowtoxic anticorrosion inhibitor pigment which have protective properties identical to those of chromate pigments. 1 tbl
