FIELD: chemistry of polymers, more particularly preparation of paintwork compounds having biocidal effect. SUBSTANCE: described is biocidal paintwork compound comprising chlorine-containing polyethylene, polyhexamethylene guanidine base and solvent and further comprises active pigment and carboxylic acid. Solvent is ethyl alcohol and toluene, ratios of components being as follows, wt %: chlorinecontaining polyethylene, 2.8-3.0; polyhexamethylene guanidine base, 0.4-0.5; active pigment, 3.5-9.0; carboxylic acid, 0.09-0.1; ethyl alcohol, 4.5-5.5; and toluene, the balance. EFFECT: higher water resistance of coating, improved strength characteristics and decorative type coatings based on biocidal paintwork compound. 3 cl, 2 tbl
