FIELD: navigation. SUBSTANCE: illuminator, mirror, objective lens and position-sensitive four-pad photodetector are optically coupled. Outputs of quadrants of photodetector are connected to signal processing unit. Optical element in the form of rectangular sector of spherical lens is optically coupled to objective lens. Opaque mask is so placed that it overlaps part of entrance pupil of objective lens. Separation boundaries of quadrants of photodetector are parallel to edges of opaque mask and optical element.
