FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves cutting skin in chin area with spindle-shaped incision. Cutaneous fat flap is removed. Geniohyoideus muscle fascicles are selected. Subperiosteal dissection is carried out with subcutaneous muscle of neck and musculus depressor anguli oris being elevated. Fascicles of depressor of the lower lip and musculus mentalis are selected and mobilized to the spots of their attachment to on the periosteum . Reposition of the selected muscle groups is carried out and they are attached with sutures to the geniohyoideus muscle under visual control of lower lip rotation. EFFECT: improved functional results.
