FIELD: refrigerating engineering; small refrigerating machines. SUBSTANCE: compression refrigerating unit includes hermetic compressor, evaporator and heat-exchanger free air-cooled condenser made in form of hollow straight-flow air duct of round or another cross section. Air duct is open at the ends and its lateral surface is perforated and provided with air cooling fins and cooling agent passages. Heat- exchanger condenser is mounted above compressor coaxially relative to its vertical axial line. Geometric size of air duct are related on definite manner with geometric sizes of compressor in order to obtain maximum efficiency. Maximum cross sectional size of air duct in plan A=(1.2- 1.4)a, cross-section area of air duct in plan S=(3-4)Q/L, height of mounting air duct above compressor H=(0.3-1)h, where "a" is maximum size of heated part of compressor in plan; "h" is maximum height of heated part of compressor in plan; "Q" is amount of heat radiated by heated part of compressor and "L" is length of air duct.
