FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: method determining flow rate in pipe-line includes measurement of maximum velocity along axis of pipe and pressure differential across any of its length of same diameter. Peculiarity of method consists in measurement of velocity in one point only, true profile of velocity is taken into account in measured pressure differential over length of pipe-line and flow rate is determined for hydraulically smooth and rough pipes by one and same mathematical dependence given in description.
