FIELD: seismic prospecting. SUBSTANCE: set of data of paths of seismic signals distributed in specified three- dimensional volume of stratum of rock. Three-dimensional volume is divided into collection of analysis cells, each including sections of two seismic paths localized in it as minimum. Vector products of seismic paths are calculated inside each cell. Covariance matrixes per each mentioned cell are formed from vector products. Highest inherent value and sum of inherent values of covariance matrix of each cell are computed. Seismic indicators are computed from relation of highest inherent value to sum of inherent values of covariance matrix of each cell. Characteristic map of seismic indicators of chosen group of cells is formed. EFFECT: enhanced resolving power and speed of computation. 47 cl, 13 dwg
