FERTILIZER APPLICATING APPARATUS Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has rotating housing made in the form of cylinder and auger formed as wire spiral and positioned inside housing. Wire spiral has left-hand and right-hand coils providing feeding of bulk material in opposite sides. Baffling washers are loosely mounted on shaft at points where wire spirals extend from hopper. Baffling washers have outer diameter equal to auger spiral inner diameter and inner diameter equal to that of shaft. Washer motion restrictors are rigidly mounted on shaft. Housing seeding windows are arranged in helical path in equally spaced relation one with respect to the other in direction of rotation of auger. Apparatus of such construction is used for uniform spreading of mineral fertilizer on slopes. EFFECT: increased efficiency and simplified construction. 2 dwg
