FIELD: packing. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods and devices used for making of packages from thin polymeric tapes. It can be used for making caps from PVC tapes for secondary sealing of bottle necks. According to proposed method, tape surface is successively treated with its step-by step displacement. Measured-length blank is cut off with simultaneously fixing of tape position by brake. Then measured blank is machined. To improved quality of packing, surface of tape is leveled up with its stretching within the limits of tolerable elastic linear deformation, prior to cutting off measured blank. Measured blank is cut off after removal of action of elastic linear deformation forces. Device for implementing proposed method has special carriage with vacuum table for leveling up surface of wound off section of tape. EFFECT: improved reliability of package. 3 cl, 8 dwg
