FIELD: equipment for coiling and assembling springs. SUBSTANCE: first variant of apparatus according to invention includes mechanism for feeding blank and coiling spring, both mounted in housing of apparatus and builtup reservoir for placing spring. Apparatus also includes bearing assembly, intermediate member, sleeve and fastening parts. Sleeve is placed vertically. Outer and inner lateral surfaces of supporting bearing assembly engage with housing and upper part of outer lateral surface of sleeve respectively. Lower portion of outer lateral surface of sleeve is joined with upper end portion of builtup reservoir by means of intermediate member whose peripheral portion is secured to upper end portion of builtup reservoir by means of fastening parts. Builtup reservoir is placed with gap relative to housing and to its base; dimensions of said reservoir are selected according to empirical relation H(d/D)H(d/D)2> εL, where H- height of cavity of builtup reservoir, m; d - inner diameter of cavity of builtup reservoir, m; D- maximum diameter of spring, m; ε- relation of effective volume of spring (calculated according to its maximum outer diameter) arranged in cavity of builtup reservoir to volume of said cavity; L- length of coiled spring, m. In second variant apparatus includes in addition supporting bearing assembly, axle and supporting member secured to base and having round opening. Axle and opening are oriented vertically. Upper portion of axle is mounted in central part of lower base of builtup reservoir; outer and inner lateral surfaces of supporting bearing assembly engage respectively with lateral wall of round opening of supporting member and with lower portion of lateral surface of axle. Dimensions of builtup reservoir are selected according to empirical relation while taking into account effective volume of spring and volume of builtup reservoir.
