FIELD: waste water treatment. SUBSTANCE: invention, in particular, relates to removal of organics, suspended substances, and ammonium nitrogen in aerobic and anaerobic modes. Waste water is settled and subjected to anaerobic treatment on charge with attached microorganisms in anaerobic zone with damping volume, while waste water consumption is leveled. Aerobic treatment of water preliminarily saturated with air in aeration zone, hydraulically connected with suspended activated sludge zone, is carried out in stepwise mode: before treatment on charge with attached microorganisms in anaerobic zone, waste water is treated in zone containing suspended bed of 15-30 days-aged activated sludge with concentration 5-6 g/l using loading on boundary sludge layer equal to 0.4-0.7 cu.m|sq.m.h, while clarification of water is effected in both steps. Prior to be directed to postcleaning zone, clarified water is saturated with oxygen in the second aeration zone and postcleaning is accomplished on charge with attached microorganisms in descending-ascending flow.
