SUBSTANCE: described is dispersant for dispersing solid phase microparticles which is of polyalkylene ether bock copolymer of formula: RO(C₂H₄O)_m(C₃H₆O)_n-H wherein R is C_1-4 alkyl, m and n each is independently from 2 to 60. Also described application of dispersant m water-based paints in printing inks and also method of preparing thereof by reaction of polyalkylene ether block copolymer with phosphatizing agent. In addition to dispersant, composition comprises solid phase microparticles, and paint or ink contains also film-forming resin. Dispersant allows for increased stability of dispersion and improved properties of the resulting color film, especially high luster thereof.
