FIELD: power engineering; thermal power plants; power units for transport. SUBSTANCE: power-generating unit has combustion chamber divided into liquid and steam/gas compartments wherein solid, pulverized, liquid, or gas fuel is burned in bed under air pressure at compressor outlet above surface of liquid filling combustion chamber level with steam/gas compartment. Combustion products are cleaned of dust and their temperature is brought down to value sustained by turbine blades inside combustion chamber; then they are passed to turbine, and the latter sets compressor and power generator in rotary motion. Upon leaving the turbine gases go to combustion-chamber regenerator thereby returning turbine output heat to cycle; then gases are flushed by makeup liquid and exhausted through pipe. Ash is removed from liquid filling the combustion chamber. EFFECT: simplified design of unit using single thermodynamic cycle; enhanced efficiency. 11 cl, 8 dwg
