FIELD: mixing equipment and processes. SUBSTANCE: homogenous mixing unit is used in combustion chambers of high-efficiency generators of synthesis-gas (nH2+Co) operating, mainly according to method of nonequilibrium partial oxidation of hydrocarbon fuel by means of oxygen-containing oxidizer. Mixing unit includes cylindrical cooled body inside which along its whole length multisection mixing chamber is arranged; cooled end bottom with through openings; members for supplying fuel and oxidizer, for feeding and removing cooling agent. Such design provides reliable homogenization of flow of mixed ingredients and feeding of flow to reaction zone of combustion chamber according to predetermined geometry pattern and with speed parameters allowing to achieve high conversion factor (according to carbon oxide) at nonequilibrium conditions and enhanced volumetric efficiency of the whole apparatus (at least by 10 times) in comparison with the best of already known similar aggregates. Mixing unit operates with improved efficiency at all operational modes and at all actual thermal and dynamic stimulae acting upon it from side of reaction zone. Such mixing unit is designed for development of reactors (combustion chambers) for producing synthesis-gas combining ideal agitation circuits (vortex zone near end bottom of mixing unit) and ideal displacement (straight flow in reaction zone).
