FIELD: continuous fiber glass manufacture equipment. SUBSTANCE: glass-melting apparatus has casing, supporting plate with spinnerets arranged at average density of 3-4 spinnerets/sq.cm, current supplies and heating screen (screens) with glass mass inlet openings and gas discharge openings. Ratio of average section area of screen (screens) to mean section area of spinneret plate is 2-3.4. Casing height and length ratio is 1.0-1.2. Area of single glass mass inlet opening in screen (screens) does not exceed area of spinneret discharge opening. Apparatus allows thin fiber glass (with diameter of 9 microns or less) to be produced in two stages. EFFECT: increased efficiency and reduced metal usage. 2 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
