FIELD: mining; applicable in making of oriented core in inclined wells. SUBSTANCE: device has core barrel with crown bit and adapter. Located inside crown bit with possible axial and angular motion is marking rod. The latter is provided with tool in its lower part for making marks on core end face. Installed in core barrel are stabilizers of marking rod position in form of inserts with similar oriented recesses. Width of recesses corresponds to diameter of working rod. Tool for marking the core end face is made in form of cutter. EFFECT: higher accuracy of marking the core end face and quality of core orientation. 3 cl, 9 dwg
