FIELD: geological prospecting of vertical and controlled directional holes including those with complex rock conditions. SUBSTANCE: core tool based on quantity- produced KD 11-190/80 is sunk to face. drill pipes, core taking pipe included are washed through. Electronic measurement inclinometer is dropped and fixed in non- rotatory core taking pipe. Ball valve shuts off core taking pipe and core is drilled. Orientation marks are continuously applied with the use of cutters-markers. Multiple measurements of azimuthal and zenith angles are taken simultaneously with the aid of inclinometer. Measurement results are recorded in storage unit of inclinometer. Data from storage unit are printed on computer after rise of core tool to surface. Core is oriented in accordance with printouts and marks. New azimuthal position of cutting tools and corresponding marks produced on core are recorded in case of turn of core taking pipe. EFFECT: reduced drilling time and cost of operation thanks to decreased number of sinking-lifting operations, expanded operational capabilities, enhanced authenticity and objectivity of information. 1 cl, 2 dwg
