FIBER FLAX HARVESTING METHOD AND FLAX COMBINE Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves pulling each process flow of stems; forming flax strip; flattening and combing with following spreading of flax stem strips; prior to forming pulled flows of flax into flax strip, subjecting them to additional flattening process in each process flow. Flax combine has frame, pulling unit mounted on frame and composed of half-sections in each pulling section, and pair of flattening rolls. Lower roll is mounted so that it is axially aligned with driving pulley of outer half-section, and has diameter at least equal to that of belt outer surface of outer half-section on part of driving pulley. Upper roll is arranged above lower roll for displacement in vertical plane. Flax combine is further equipped with clamping conveyor and combing unit. Each pulling section is provided with pair of flattening rolls. Roll arranged in outer half-section is positioned for displacement relative to roll arranged in inner half-section of each pulling section. Method allows treated plant fibers with uniformly aged parts to be obtained. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of fiber flax strips. 3 cl, 2 dwg
