METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING DEVIATIONS IN NEUROPSYCHICAL DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves showing test material to children aged from 1 month to 10 years. The test material has a number of neuropsychological tests that enable one to investigate higher nervous functions of the brain. The study deals with the following principle groups of faculties: 1 - general motility, 2 - small motility, 3 - self-service experience, 4 - spatial gnosis, 5 - visual gnosis, 6 - painting experience, 7 - communications, 8 - speech, 9 - memory, 10 - reading. Seven-level scales are built in into computer program for evaluating normal responses in each age group. Deviation from normal range in scores by 1-12 being observed, light degree of neuropsychical development deviations are to be diagnosed. The deviation in scores being equal to 13-23, moderate degree is to be diagnosed. The value of 24-30 shows medium degree of deviations in neuropsychical development and the value exceeding 30, marked degree of deviations in neuropsychical development is the case.
