FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves making limbic incision of the conjunctiva after applying local anesthesia. Extraocular tendon is selected and 1.5-2 mm are excised from each end of the tendon and U-shaped scleromuscular flap is produced. A part of muscle tendon is excised from each side of the muscle reducing the U- shaped flap width that is separated from the base. Its distal edge is attached to at the original place of muscle attachment. Internal sheet of fascial muscle sheath is inserted under the flap. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; reduced degree of muscle weakening; avoided postoperative complications like scleral ectasia. 3 dwg
