FIELD: rolled stock production, namely equipment of tube rolling mills, particularly arresting and adjusting mechanisms of tube screw rolling mills with lateral discharge of rolled pieces. SUBSTANCE: arresting and adjusting mechanism includes frame, carriage with motion drive, arresting head and lever for locking it, roller type support, rod with fork-like grip arranged in roller type support. Carriage is provided with supporting plate mounted opposite relative to arresting head and carrying bearing shaft with supporting guide in the form of open hook-like lever and unit for rocking motion of said plate. Axis of bearing shaft is parallel to axis of rod and it coincides with it in vertical plane. EFFECT: improved design of mechanism, enhanced efficiency of rolling mill due to use of such mechanism. 3 dwg
