FIELD: organic chemistry, medicine, oncology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to substances used in combination with ascorbic acid for therapy treatment of malignant neoplasma (binar catalytic "dark" therapy of malignant neoplasms) and method of suppression of tumor growth. Invention describes octa-4,5- carboxyphthalocyanine cobalt esters of the general formula (I) β- where R is or -CH3O[CH2CH2O]n; n = 3-7 and also their inclusion complexes with HO[CH2CH2O]n-cyclodextrin propylene glycol ester and method of suppression of tumor growth using these compounds and ascorbic acid as a biogenic reducing agent. Use of proposed compounds provides the permanent and biologically significant inhibition of tumor growth and significant increase of mean spanlife of mice with transplanted malignant tumor of different genesis.
