FIELD: electric prospecting with use of electromagnetic field of the Earth. SUBSTANCE: method of geological electric prospecting consists in determination of dependence of specific apparent resistance of rocks by way of measurement of narrow-band current spectral components of natural electromagnetic field. Current spectral components are found for many overlapped time intervals. Apparent resistance is determined for such specified length of consistent overlapped time intervals for which horizontal impedance equal to square root from ratio of sums of squares of horizontal electric and magnetic components gives least difference of values. EFFECT: increased precision and productivity of measurement of frequency dependence of specific apparent resistance of rocks. 12 dwg, 2 tbl
