FIELD: oil pollution removal. SUBSTANCE: when preparing sorbent from lowdecomposition degree high-moor peat, the latter is preliminarily separated into two fractions: middle fraction with particle size larger than 1-2 mm and fine fraction with particle size 0.5-1 mm, after which the two fractions are combined at weight ratio1:(1-1.5), respectively. Sorbent is, in particular, designed for removing light oil fractions (kerosene, diesel fuel). EFFECT: increased sorption capacity. 4 cl, 1 tbl
