FIELD: pipeline transport, in particular, methods for nondestructive inspection and estimation of technical condition of pipelines at their tests and in service. SUBSTANCE: a flaw-detecting tool is passed through the mainline with stepped stops or deceleration, the defects available in the pipeline are detected and displayed with the aid of diagnostic equipment and their geometric characteristics are determined. Various quantities of parameters of fluid medium are displayed in each zone being examined for many times, and on this basis the quantities of variations of the nominal parameters of the pipeline condition in these zones are determined. Information is displayed for many times by the diagnostic equipment at the respective quantities of the parameters of fluid medium. Variations of the maximum local parameters of the pipeline condition near the defects detected in the zone under examination are determined. The maximum quantities of the parameters of the pipeline condition are found as the sum of the nominal parameters of the pipeline condition and the quantities of variations of the maximum local parameters of the pipeline condition, and the obtained maximum quantities of the parameters of the pipeline condition are compared with the allowable quantities. The quantities of variations of the maximum local parameters of the pipeline condition are determined by extrapolation according to the quantities of the respective parameters of fluid medium.
