FIELD: pipeline transport.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises using energy of product to be transported by setting automatically controlled systems on the apparatus and braking devices connected with them and control of movement of the apparatus by opening and closing bypasses for flowing fluid depending on pressure in the zone of inspection and generating energy for braking the apparatus. The apparatus comprises base that bears on the inner side of the pipeline. The base has one or several bypasses for flowing the product to be transported and system for automatic control that has control valving unit and braking unit that is secured to the base and cooperates with the pipeline. The control valving unit is made of at least one lid mounted on the housing of the base for permitting its opening when the pressure in the main passage between the housing and inner side of the pipeline exceeds a specified value. When the control valving unit is open, the fluid flows through the bypass, rotates the turbine connected with the braking unit, and enhances the deceleration of the apparatus.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability.
