FIELD: plastic metal working, sheet metal stamping. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to manufacture parts with curvilinear sides from thin-sheet materials. Gear for die-stamping by elastic medium includes die arranged on plate and container with elastic medium. Insert of elastic medium with internal cavity whose height equals height of die is installed inside die. Height of internal cavity does not exceed half-height of die and its diameter amounts to half-diameter of insert or less. Use of proposed gear makes it possible to raise appreciably thickness of material in zone of edge which increases strength, rigidity of part and allows this part to be welded to other parts without loss of strength.
