FIELD: jet technology. SUBSTANCE: method involves recording of current values of propulsion unit status criteria, their comparison with preset reference values, elimination of detected troubles, and verifying checks; standard equipment of propulsion unit, troubles, fuel and oil leaks, amount of fuel and oil in fuel and oil systems, respectively, are recorded; fuel and oil are drained, gas is evacuated from inner spaces of fuel and oil systems, power and low- current circuits are checked for signals, defective power and low-current harnesses, units, and parts are replaced by serviceable ones, circuits of automatic-control, measuring, and recording systems, as well as those of checking and recording devices are checked for signals; circuits are checked for continuity; fuel and oil are degassed. Upon elimination of troubles detected and replacement of gaskets and harnesses inner spaces of fuel and oil systems are filled with gas-free fuel and oil whereupon these systems are preserved. EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities, improved confidence of power-plant serviceability check upon operation or storage.
