FIELD: veterinary medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves administering 1 l of decimolar glycine (7.5 g/l) heated to body temperature to calf for drinking on empty stomach instead of colostrum (milk, milk substitutes). The animal state is observed during the following day. Diarrhea fails to be stopped until the following feeding, 0.5-0.7 l of the same solution is additionally given to the calf. The calf receives one half of the prescribed ration at the next feeding and then it is allowed to eat the usual ration. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in stopping diarrhea of various severity degrees.
