FIELD: purification of liquids by settling of nonsoluble impurities. SUBSTANCE: settling tank consists of vessel rectangular in plan with branch pipes and trays for supply and discharge of water. Device for gathering and withdrawal of precipitate is used in the form of water-permeable film located on tank bottom. Film with precipitate is wound on shaft by means of drive. Then film with precipitate wound into roll is removed from settling tank and precipitate is dewatered. Precipitate remains on film. EFFECT: reduced expenditures for removal of precipitate and its dewatering. 2 dwg
