FIELD: working processes and equipment. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes mandrel with cone stem; mounted on mandrel with possibility of axial motion housing having flange joined with tool holder; stirrup with cylindrical protrusion mounted on housing with possibility of axial motion and having fixation member. Apparatus provides cutting high-quality large-size threads due to using holder in the form of two mutually normal forks. One fork is designed to be rigidly mounted in grooves of cutter holder of machine tool; other fork has two cylindrical guides arranged in parallel relative to axis of mandrel. Member for fixing stirrup is in the form of bolts with cylindrical end portions having flat end surfaces designed for resting upon bottom of smooth slopes in outer surface of housing. Cylindrical protrusion of stirrup is arranged between cylindrical guides of holder with possibility of motion along lower guide at cutting thread and along upper guide at unscrewing tool. Axes of cylindrical protrusion of stirrup and cylindrical guides are arranged normal one relative to another in mutually normal planes. EFFECT: improved design, enhanced efficiency. 9 dwg
