SPINNING APPARATUS Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: spinning apparatuses, namely apparatuses for making precision cylindrical cavities in hydraulic cylinder type parts loaded by high pressure.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes housing, lid with handle and micrometer dial, separator with spinning members in the form of sphere and two bearing rings. One bearing ring is designed for adjustment, it is mounted in lid and kinematically joined with it. Other bearing ring is stationary one and it is mounted in housing. Working surfaces of both rings are mutually normal. Apparatus includes Г-shaped holder secured to housing and spring-loaded disc based by means of screws mounted in lid and functionally coupled with separator. Separator has crown and semicircular grooves with cone surfaces. Number of grooves is equal to that of spinning members. Inclination angle of working surface of adjustment bearing ring relative to rotation axis of mandrel is less than 45є.

EFFECT: possibility for adjusting spinning members at high accuracy without readjustment of lathe and at lowered efforts.
