LIFTING-AND-TURNING GATE Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: lifting-and-turning gate is used for filling apertures of miscellaneous buildings and structures, for garages, and motor transport locations. Gate has top and bottom leafs joint together and lifting mechanism. Gate is provided with fastening facility for top leaf in gate aperture, mechanism for pre-tensioning and positioning of hoisting rope installed in middle part of lower edge of bottom leaf, mechanism for final fixation of leafs in gate aperture mounted in middle part of lower edge of top leaf, and damper installed in at least one of lower corners of bottom gate leaf. Lifting mechanism is provided with horizontal shaft installed in top part of gate aperture for turning; two drive pulleys with hoisting rope are mounted on shaft; hoisting rope is engageable with mechanism for pre-tensioning and positioning hoisting rope, and with two movable pulleys, hoisting rope being engageable with mechanism for final fixation of leafs in gate aperture.
