FIELD: radio communications. SUBSTANCE: new modified dual-band antenna system has internal antenna placed inside external antenna. Antenna system of first design version has its internal antenna radiating and receiving high-frequency signals in first high-frequency band and external antenna, in second high-frequency band. As an alternative, internal and external antennas operating in first high-frequency band may be interconnected to improve directivity pattern of antenna system. In second design version internal antenna radiates and receives high-frequency signals both in first and second high-frequency bands. When such dual- band antenna system operates in second high-frequency band, its external antenna is grounded which changes length of internal antenna signal for resonating in second high-frequency band. Such antenna system allows same device to operate in several frequency bands. EFFECT: reduced mass, enhanced economic efficiency of antenna system. 6 cl, 4 dwg
