FIELD: electrical engineering; motor-generator sets for pumped storage plants, and the like. SUBSTANCE: rotor is assembled of laminations 7. Rotor body 6 is mounted on hub 1 and held in position by means of axially arranged coupling bolts. Winding leads 16a forming end windings 17 are locked in position by means of fastenings incorporating thrust ring protecting against centrifugal forces. Novelty is that end laminations of rotor body 6 carry pressure pins 30 and that supporting ring is assembled of at least two rings 19-24 axially spaced apart and resting through their inner circumference on hub 1. Rings mounted on section of rotor body 6 close to rotor axis and pressure pins 30 are tied up by means of first coupling bolt 8 passed in axial direction through rotor body 6; rings mounted on section of body 6 remote from rotor axis are coupled by means of second coupling bolts 25, 26, 27 passed only through rings 19-24 in axial direction. Third coupling bolts 37 passed through end winding in radial direction exert pressure on most external ring 19-24 as viewed in axial direction at least on outer circumference. So, rotor windings are reliably supported and are capable of taking all thrusts occurring in service and are easily cooled down. EFFECT: facilitated manufacture; provision for dispensing with expensive auxiliary mounting facilities. 18 cl, 8 dwg
