FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has control unit, unit for acting upon patient being designed as flexible elastic chamber, compressor, compressed air chamber. The elastic chamber is mountable under, inside or on the cushion during sleep. Timer starts operating at preset time and control unit switches on compressor pumping in air into the compressed air chamber until required pressure is achieved. Then, air pressure pickup comes into action and the compressor is switched off. Obeying control unit commands, electromagnetic valve is periodically opened and closed sending impulses of compressed air into the flexible elastic chamber. When starting the chamber filling, its volume jumpwise increases making a person to wake up. Pressure in compression chamber dropping below the pressure pickup operation threshold, air is removed from the flexible elastic chamber and compressed air chamber through electromagnetic exhaust valve into the atmosphere. The pressure dropping to atmosphere one in both chambers, the air pressure pickup comes into action once more and the control unit is ready to repeatedly start the device operating. Repeated operation mode for controlling awakening can be cancelled by switching off the timer unit. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in waking up deaf and dull hearing persons without causing discomfort. 3 cl, 2 dwg
